This August, I enrolled in a 4 week music intensive (3 credit hours) at Verity Institute in Indianapolis, IN. It was an amazing Christian course that expanded my knowledge and skill in many different areas of music geared towards ministry! The classes consisted of music history, hymnology, conducting, orchestatrion, teaching children's choir, theory, orchestra, choir/voice, notation, music composition, piano pedagogy, and more. We had incredible professors that invested so much in us!! It was an unforgettable 4 weeks with lots of memories of studying for theory exams, practicing my clarinet for orchestra, spending hours on children's choir presentations and writing orchestra music, singing choir songs as we walked to classes, and bonding with amazing musical friends. :)
