Missionary Don Richardson

While attending one of our yearly ATI conferences we were able to hear the former missionary Don Richardson speak of God's astounding work among the Sawi tribe in New Guinea, Indonesia.  The girls also had the pleasure to work with him at another conference while on staff.  He came to a missions conference in our area and we were excited to hear him share again and talk with him.

You might be familiar with two of his books, The Peace Child and Eternity in Their Hearts.  If you're looking to be encouraged by God's provision and miracles you'll want to read these!  The first book recounts the Richardson's while living and working among the Sawi tribe in the 1960's.  Both tell of the God given "compasses" in cultures that point them towards Christ.

One of Mr. Richardson's sons started a missions organization called Pioneers.  Go here to watch the video "Never the Same: 50 Years since Peace Child".  He and some of his children return to see the fruit of God's Word planted many, many years ago.

Happy 20th Anniversary to the Happy Couple

I can't even begin to describe just how thankful I am for my remarkable parents. They have set a fruitful and godly example of how a husband and wife relationship should be.  Today is their 20th wedding anniversary! As each year goes by, we see them getting happier and happier. I do have to say, they are the cutest couple. :) And with that, we wish them the happiest day and many to come!

Happy 20th Anniversary Mom and Dad! We love you!

My beautiful Mother on her wedding day.

They were married at the Victorian Inns in Marietta, Georgia.

My Mom told all of us how our Daddy was an answer to many years of her prayers! She has taught us to do the same for our future spouses. They are just so cute in this picture! :)

I love this picture. They are both so beautiful and in love. We are truly thankful for our wonderful parents. I pray that I am like my Mom and that I marry someone like my Dad! :)

We let them (hehe) go and celebrate their anniversary in Hilton Head Island this past weekend. They had a whole weekend to themselves, while us "kids" were at home being angels. :) Well, really we were and we were so excited for them! :) So, the night they came back we had a big surprise for them! Here are some pictures of what we did to their room aka "honey moon suite"!!!

Love you Mom and Dad,
Madelyn

"Bonse Aba"

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"
John 1:12

These words were written into a song in the Bemba language, the most predominant Zambian language for the country of Zambia.  It is called "Bonse Aba".  When asked by our pastor at church to share about this country during a missions month we decided to add this to the presentation (this video is of us doing it at our Good News Club the following day).  Take particular note in the video below of Nick's talent on the dajimba drums (thanks a bunch Mrs. Charlene for lending them to us and Heather for the video!)!  He's never had music lessons of any kind.  He got the drum on the Wednesday before the Sunday he played them.  We're thinking if the day job doesn't work out...we know what he should do =)!  Anyway, this is where serving God together as a family is just plain ol' fun!  Hope you enjoy it!
